While still not officially the Green Bay Packers’ starter, quarterback Jordan Love is already preparing for life under the spotlight in 2023. According to his private QB coach Steve Calhoun, Love plans on getting Packers wideouts to California this offseason for a series of workouts.

Calhoun recently spoke with Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network and revealed that Love is already putting in the work and preparing for the upcoming campaign. He added that Packers’ young wide receivers Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, as well as Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones plan to come to California in the near future and work with Love on their “timing.”

It makes sense for Love to build a rapport with his teammates on offense, considering they didn’t see much game action together. Since coming into the league as the Packers’ first-round pick in 2020, Love only made one start and played a total of 157 offensive snaps in three seasons. He didn’t get to play with Watson or Doubs at all during the regular season in 2022, failing to make a single appearance behind four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers.

Although Rodgers is still a member of the Green Bay Packers, it is only a matter of time before it becomes Love’s team. Rodgers publicly expressed his wish to leave and is expected to be traded to the New York Jets at some point before the season starts.
