The Spanish La Liga club Celta Vigo made a large number of acquirements during this summer transfer season including Horge Sainz, Denis Suarez, Joseph Aidoo and several others. But, they are showing that they are really committed to reinventing the team and going after bigger goals in the upcoming season. Now the club is bringing another reinforcement intended to strengthen the team.

Celta Vigo officials have confirmed the reports that Pape Cheikh Diop was returning to Abanca Balaidos from the French Ligue 1 club Lyon. The 22-year-old midfielder left Spain back in 2017 and went on to join the French club for a fee of $11.1 million, but he had a hard time finding his spot in the team. After two unsuccessful seasons in which he only had 17 appearances, Diop is finally returning to Celta in order to get his career back on track.

He will be coming to the club on a loan contract which will bring him back to Spain for one season, but the contract has a special clause which will give Celta Vigo the option to acquire the player after the contract expires.
