New England Patriots decided to boost their offensive line with pair of trades on Wednesday. Pats acquired guard Jermaine Eluemunor from Baltimore and offensive tackle Korey Cunningham from Arizona Cardinals.

According to ESPN, both trades involved Patriots sending draft picks in exchange. Baltimore reportedly traded Eluemunor and a sixth-round pick in exchange for New England’s fourth-rounder, while Cardinals received a sixth-round pick for Cunningham.

Eluemunor was drafted by Ravens in the 2017 Draft and had a productive rookie season in which he was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Although he didn’t manage to hold the same level of play in his sophomore year, he was still projected to be the team’s starting left guard for 2019. The lack of discipline and poor showing during the preseason, however, made the 24-year-old expendable and Baltimore decided to jump on the opportunity to move him.

Cunningham, who played college football with Cincinnati Bearcats, was selected by Cardinals in the seventh round of last year’s draft. After seeing limited action in his rookie season, he entered this year as projected Cardinal’s backup left tackle and possible starter at the swing tackle position.

By acquiring Eluemunor and Cunningham, New England is trying to address a big hole that formed in their offensive line by the absence of their starting center David Andrews. Although the duo might not be contributing right away, they will add some badly needed depth at the swing tackle and guard position and allow the Patriots to adjust.
