French midfielder Paul Pogba will leave Seria A club Juventus after the two sides agreed on a mutual contract termination. Juve confirmed the news in a statement shared on Friday.

Pogba’s contract will officially end on November 30, after which he will become a free agent.

“The club wishes Paul the very best for his professional future,” Juventus said in a statement.

Pogba returned to Juventus for his second stint in the summer of 2022 on a four-year contract, becoming the club’s highest-paid player. However, he only managed to play 161 minutes in his first season back due to meniscus and muscle injuries.

Pogba made two substitute appearances at the start of the 2023-24 season before being provisionally suspended for using performance enhancers. He received a four-year ban from soccer by the Italian Anti-Doping National Tribunal before the suspension was reduced to 18 months after the appeal.

After the reduction of the ban, Pogba is now cleared to return to playing soccer professionally in March 2025. He previously expressed a wish to continue his career with Juventus, but it later became clear that he isn’t part of new head coach Thiago Motta’s plans.

“My time at Juventus has come to an end,” Pogba said in a statement. “It has been a privilege to pull on the shirt of the bianconeri and to share so many special moments together… I am looking forward to the next chapter of my career and to stepping out on the pitch with my next club.”

Paul Pogba made 182 appearances in his first stint with Juve, winning four Seria A titles while scoring 34 goals and adding 41 assists. He also played for Manchester United on two separate occasions.
