Manchester United kept up with their top four rivals, with their 2-1 victory over West Ham. This has been West Ham’s third loss of a PL game in a row, leaving them in the eleventh spot. The game sent Manchester United above Arsenal into fifth in the Premier League.

Both of Man United’s goals were scored by Paul Pogba in penalties, the first of which was scored in the 17th minute. Before the first penalty shot was awarded in the first half, Felipe Anderson’s goal in the 10th was ruled out for offside. This was bad luck for West Ham, as videos show that the offside ruling was incorrect.

Anderson still managed to get West Ham back on track four minutes into the second half, but Ryan Fredericks brought down Anthony Martial with a tackle in the 79th minute, which gave Man United their second penalty opportunity in the game. Pogba successfully scored the second penalty, driving home the victory for United.

Manchester United have been unbeaten in fourteen PL home games, while only Liverpool and Arsenal are with currently unbeaten runs on home turf in the league.
