With current Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer coming under fire for his extensively inconsistent run of results, former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara is convinced that Mauricio Pochettino is the man for the job.

The Argentinian national previously coached Tottenham Hotspur, before being fired in November 2019 due to the Spurs’ poor start to the season. Since then, he has remained without a club.

“I think you have to give Pochettino massive respect for what he did at Spurs,” O’Hara stated during an interview with talkSPORT. He went on to explain that while Pochettino was unable to win any silverware, he transformed his squad into a force to be reckoned with despite his minimal transfer budget and lack of big-name signings.

During his five years at the North London club, Pochettino earned a 54.3% win record; greater than the majority of other recent manager including the likes of Harry Redknapp and Martin Jol.

In addition to securing a Champions League spot for Spurs in each of his seasons at the club, Pochettino also lifted his side to the Champions League final in 2019, where they were runners-up to Liverpool.
