Ligue 1 champions Paris-Saint Germain are already bracing for life without Lionel Messi. According to French media outlet Le Parisien, PSG made Tottenham’s striker Harry Kane their primary transfer target and will do everything to sign the Englishman in the summer.

PSG are expected to rebuild their squad during the next transfer window following another disappointing UEFA Champions League campaign. Messi is expected to leave after his contract expires in the summer while the club is open to listening to offers for Brazilian star forward Neymar. This will leave PSG short on attacking options, but they believe the issue will be solved if they can get Kane.

Acquiring Kane won’t be an easy task, as Tottenham is reportedly holding out for a transfer fee of £100 million. It also remains to be seen whether the 29-year-old player would be open to moving to France, considering his previous wish to play for another top Premier League club.

After struggling with form last season, Harry Kane rediscovered his goal-scoring touch in 2022-23. He has scored 23 goals in 31 Premier League matches while adding two more in UCL and FA Cup.

PSG is also believed to be looking for a new manager as the club’s brass is unsatisfied with the job that current boss Christophe Galtier has done so far. They are considering several names, including AS Roma’s Jose Mourinho and ex-Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann.
