Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward Kylian Mbappe told reporters on Wednesday that he still hasn’t decided where he wants to play next season. Mbappé entered the final six months of his contract and can leave the Ligue 1 champions in the summer as a free agent.

PSG is ready to offer a new contract to Mbappe while the 25-year-old also has plenty of other options. La Liga giants Real Madrid are still keen on bringing him to Spain and are believed to be in contact with his representatives.

“I haven’t made my decision yet. I haven’t made a choice,” Mbappe told reporters after a 2-0 win over Toulouse in the French Super Cup. “With the agreement I had with the president in the summer, my decision is not important as we managed to protect all the parties and preserved the serenity of the club for the challenges to come, which is the most important. So we will say that it [the decision] is secondary.”

The relationship between Kylian Mbappe and PSG has been strained since the summer when the player refused to sign a new contract. At that point, the French club was ready to sell Mbappe and received an offer from a Saudi Arabia club. However, the player refused the move and ended up staying in France.

Mbappe doesn’t have much time to decide on his future, at least if he wants that future to include playing for Real Madrid. Reportedly, the Spanish club is expected to offer a contract to Mbappe in the near future but will give him a deadline of the end of January to decide whether he’ll accept it or not.
