The Las Vegas Raiders are seeing their 2024 season slip, going 2-5 and struggling with quarterback play throughout the first seven weeks. But that doesn’t mean they are about to go into a fire sale, especially when it comes to their star defensive end Maxx Crosby.

After the Raiders traded away All-Pro wideout Davante Adams to the New York Jets, many believed that Crosby could be next. He is a player who could net Las Vegas a haul of picks they could use for their rebuild, and there are several teams in need of a pass rusher.

However, Raiders’ owner Mark Davis decided to put an end to rumors surrounding Crosby in a statement sent to ESPN.

“We’re Not Trading Maxx Crosby,” Davis said. “Before Or After The Trade Deadline!!!”

According to multiple reports, several teams have explored the possibility of trading for Crosby and even contacted the Raiders. However, they received an answer similar to Davis’s statement.

Maxx Crosby established himself as one of the best defensive ends in the league in recent years. He received two Second-Team All-Pro honors and was a Pro Bowler in each of the past three seasons while racking up 35 sacks. He continued to wreak havoc on opponents’ offenses this season as well, having 6.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss in six games.
