The Baltimore Ravens finally got involved in free agency this week by signing veteran wide receiver Nelson Agholor. The team confirmed the move in a social media post on Friday.

According to reports, Agholor inked a one-year deal that comes with a $3.25 million base salary. The player can earn an additional $3 million based on incentives.

The Ravens have been quiet since the free agency opened, being limited with what they can spend due to the non-exclusive $32.416 million franchise tag placed on quarterback Lamar Jackson. The franchise needs to keep its space open in case Jackson signs its tag or if they need to match a contract he agrees to with another team.

Agholor fills a position of need for the Ravens, considering that the franchise struggled with wide receiver production in recent years. The team had the least-productive wideout corps in three of the past four seasons, including 2022. The 29-year-old will add depth to the position while also providing Baltimore with a dependable pair of hands while they wait for their primary receiver Rashod Bateman to return from the injury.

Nelson Agholor spent the past two seasons with the New England Patriots, making 68 catches for 835 yards and five touchdowns. He previously also played with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Las Vegas Raiders earlier in his career.
