After an early exit from the 2018-19 edition of the Champions League, rumors began to swirl that Cristiano Ronaldo might want to make an early exit from Juventus.

The soccer superstar had won three consecutive Champions League titles and had reached 9 consecutive CL semi-finals until his team was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Ajax last week.

Ronaldo, however, confirmed in an interview that he will “1000%” stay at Juventus for the next season.

He also posted a video to his Twitter account on Saturday night after Juventus clinched its 8th consecutive Serie A title.

Ronaldo joined Juventus last summer after departing from Real Madrid. The Portuguese forward had spent 10 seasons playing for Los Blancos.

He moved to Real Madrid after beginning his career at Sporting CP in Portugal and then moving to Manchester United from 2003 until 2009.

The 34-year-old made the move to the Italian giants after being unhappy with his situation and contract in Madrid. He is one of the greatest players of all time, and the only player to have won 5 Champions League titles.

Despite his disappointment in being eliminated early from the Champions League, his first season in Italy hasn’t been a total loss. Juventus did win the Serie A title and the Supercoppa of Italy.

Ronaldo will look to return to Champions League glory with Juventus in 2019-20.
