While Russell Wilson is unhappy with the Seattle Seahawks, his displeasure still hasn’t reached a point where he would ask for a trade. This is what his agent Mark Rodgers told ESPN’s Adam Schefter in a recent chat.

According to Rodgers, Wilson “wants to play in Seattle” but has a wish list if a trade becomes an option. The list includes the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders, and Chicago Bears.

Reportedly, the Seahawks are not thinking about trading Wilson at all and maintain that he’s their quarterback of the future. In case their opinion changes and they decide to explore trade options, they would have to work with the player as he has a no-trade clause.

Other NFL teams, however, believe that Seattle would be willing to consider a deal for the right price. Some executives even believe that Wilson could be on the move as soon as 2022.

Russell Wilson explained the reasons for his unhappiness in the chat with reporters following the end of the 2020 NFL season.

Wilson took issue with being frequently sacked, saying that he’s “frustrated” with the hits he has been taking. He also said that he wants to be more involved in personal decisions after not being part of the process in the past.

It appears, however, that the Seahawks already took some steps to repair the relationship with their quarterback. Reportedly, Wilson was involved in the search for the team’s new offensive coordinator and was in favor of Shane Waldron, who ended up getting the job.

We’ll have to wait and see whether this will be enough to keep Wilson in Seattle.
