The Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith is adamant that there is nothing apart from regular preparations that he and his team will need to do in order to prepare for the game against the New York Jets at Lumen Field on Sunday.

Nicknamed a “revenge” game, Smith will be up against the team that drafted him as a second round pick in 2013. He went on to spend four seasons with the Jets.

When asked about the clash and extra preparations during a media session, Smith simply responded that there’s “not anything for me.”

“I really just feel like the importance of it is we need a win so we can get into the playoffs. Obviously, there will be some speculation, some talk about that. It comes with the territory,” Smith reflected going on to state the love that he still has for the Jets organization.

Currently in second place in the NFC West, the Seahawks are still in with a shot to clinch a playoff berth. In order to do so, however, a win against the Jets will be vital. The Seahawks will also be looking to overturn a two game losing streak.
