Legendary Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is joining a long list of former players who ventured into broadcasting. But like everything else, Lynch is doing this in his own unique way.

Lynch will become a part of Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football crew. The 36-year-old Lynch will host a short segment titled “’ N Yo’ City,” which will see him visiting the cities that host the TNF game on that particular week and engaging in some unusual activities.

For example, Lynch will play flag football with kids in Chicago’s Highland Park ahead of the upcoming clash between the Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders. A week later, he’ll mark the New Orleans Saints game versus the Arizona Cardinals by feeding some Louisiana alligators.

The news about Lynch’s addition to the TNF crew was confirmed by Marie Donoghue, Vice President of Amazon Sports. During an appearance on Marchand & Ourand Sports Media Podcast, Donoghue explained that the plan was to have Lynch working from the start of the season but that his recent legal issues got in the way.

“I think Marshawn wanted to work through some things,” Donoghue said. “We were already working with him. We never walked away. We just worked through some things with him, and we’re excited. We can’t wait for him to join.”

Marshawn Lynch is a five-time Pro Bowler who won a Super Bowl ring with the Seattle Seahawks during the 2013 NFL season. Lynch, who also suited up for the Buffalo Bills and the Oakland Raiders, has 10,413 career rushing yards and 85 career rushing touchdowns.
