The Africa Cup of Nations is nearing its final and this weekend Senegal’s national team managed to secure its place there. At the 30 June Stadium in Egypt, Senegal reached the final of this sports event for a second time by scoring a victory against the national team of Tunisia.

The match was a clash between two teams that are pretty equal in their skills and strength, which led to an even performance. Even though Senegal was dominating the tense first half-time, the team finished without any goals. The second half-time turned out to be more unpredictable with Tunisia fighting to take the dominance from Senegal.

The first moment that could have changed the outcome was the penalty that was awarded to Tunisia, but Alfred Gomis managed to defend Sassi’s shot at the goal. A few minutes after this, Bonn gave a foul to Ismaila Sarr. Senegal was awarded a penalty shot too but it did not lead to a goal. The tides changed in the 100th minute of the match when the 24-year-old goalkeeper Mouez Hassen unintentionally brought victory to Senegal leading to a final result of 1-0 for Senegal.
