This season tennis showed a great number of very young and very talented new players who disputed great champions and even disqualified them showing great skills and determination.

One such talented teenager which was ranked world number 133, showed stunning play even though she was beaten by the American Serena Williams. The 7-time Wimbledon champion was surprised when the young Kaja Juvan managed to win the first set. The interesting match lasted one hour and thirty-six minutes and finished with a score of 2-6, 6-2 and 6-4 taking Williams to the next round where she will stand against the German Julia Gorges.

Serena Williams has won Wimbledon seven times so far, her last being the Wimbledon in 2016. With this year’s Wimbledon cup, the American who currently has 23 Grand Slam singles titles will attempt to equal the record of 24 held by the Australian former world No.1 Margaret Court.

Another surprising moment of the match was the arrival of Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club to support Williams who has been her friend for more than a decade.
