FC Dallas’ fullback and U.S. international Reggie Cannon might take his talents overseas in the next months. Reportedly, multiple European clubs are interested in Cannon’s services and could make a move this summer.

According to Belgian media outlet Voetbal Nieuws, Cannon emerged as a target for two of the country’s most famous clubs AA Gent and Anderlecht. There is also interest from Germany in the 22-year-old defender as Bundesliga side Freiburg has been tracking him for some time.

Cannon signed a new deal with Dallas earlier this year, but it isn’t a secret that the player would like to play in Europe at some point. He was previously linked with a move to England as well, but this remains unlikely due to work permit issues.

Reggie Cannon joined Dallas as a homegrown player in 2016, after playing one year of college soccer with UCLA. Cannon slowly worked his way into Dallas’ starting lineup and has been one of the team’s key players in recent seasons. He has 65 games in MLS with the organization and has contributed with three goals and five assists.

Cannon has been a member of USMNT since 2018 and has collected 11 caps for the senior team.
