Sporting Kansas City confirmed on Monday that they have parted ways with French midfielder Yohan Croizet. According to team’s announcement, Croizet left SKC on a mutual agreement.

Croizet played 18 games in MLS this year, providing three goals and one assist in the process. However, he hasn’t play a single game with Sporting since July 26th.

“We appreciate Yohan’s service to the club over the last two seasons and wish him the best of luck moving forward,”  – said SKC manager and sporting director Peter Vermes in a brief statement.

Yohan Croizet started his career with French Ligue 1 side Metz, where he made two appearances between 2011 and 2013. Croizet then departed for Belgium, where he played for several clubs including First Division A side KV Mechelen. With Mechelen, he played 54 games and scored five goals.

Croizet came to MLS in 2018, and he was supposed to be an important player for Sporting Kansas City in the years to come. However, although he had solid performances during his time in the United States, he never managed to meet the expectations put in front of him. He leaves SKC having played 57 games in all competitions and contributing with six goals and four assists.
