European soccer fans are awaiting the beginning of the Turkish Super Lig during this weekend with the match between Denizlispor and the Super Lig champions Galatasaray. But just before the start, Galatasaray will be bringing another reinforcement to the team which will probably be their last for this season.

The Italian Serie A club Roma announced that their defensive midfielder, Steven Nzonzi will be joining the Turkish Super Lig Champions on loan. They have reached an agreement with the Lions for a one-year deal. The contract has a special clause that will give Galatasaray a chance to sign Nzonzi after his loan expires in June 2020 for a fee of $17.7 million. Also, they will have the option to loan him for an extra season which will come at a price of around $500,000.

Roma had released a statement on their social media account wishing Nzonzi the best of luck for his future.

The 30-year-old Nzonzi started his senior career back in 2007, playing for the French club Amiens. The French defensive midfielder joined Roma in 2018 from Sevilla for an initial fee of $28.8 million. He has made 30 appearances for the club in which he managed to score 1 goal.
