Seattle Storm are WNBA champions once again. Facing Las Vegas Aces in a decisive Game 3 of the WNBA Finals on Tuesday night, Storm delivered an impressive display of dominance to get a 92-59 win and close out the series with a sweep.

This was Storm’s fourth WNBA title and second in three years. They’ve previously lifted the trophy in 2004, 2010, and 2018.

Storm’s forward Breanna Stewart won the Finals MVP award after averaging 25.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. She finished the Game 3 with 26 points and 4 rebounds.

This was the second Finals MVP award for Stewart and comes after she was forced to sit out the last season with an Achilles injury.

“I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to be back to where I was,” said Stewart. “But to be here and see myself playing like this and having so much potential going forward, it’s exciting but also really appreciating what we were able to do this year.”

Seattle Storm are now tied with now-defunct Houston Comets and Minnesota Lynx for most WNBA titles in the history of the league, which played its inaugural season in 1997.
