It appears that Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be returning to Real Madrid after all. The Portuguese superstar has been heavily linked with the La Liga giants in recent weeks, but according to Real head coach Carlo Ancelotti, the club isn’t working on making this move happen.

“Cristiano is a Real Madrid legend and has all my affection and respect,” Ancelotti wrote on Twitter. “I’ve never considered signing him. We look forward.”

Cristiano Ronaldo spent nine seasons with Real Madrid, during which he helped the club win two La Liga trophies and four Champions League honors. He also became the club’s top goalscorer in the process.

Ronaldo left Spain in 2018 and joined Seria A powerhouse Juventus. He won two league titles in Italy and continued to have individual success, but the club’s poor performances in the 2020-21 season and lack of success in European competition sparked rumors about the 36-year-old player’s exit.

Earlier in the summer, it was reported that Ronaldo wanted to leave Juve and had Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid as his preferred destinations. But options now seem to be off the table. PSG signed rival Lionel Messi in a blockbuster move earlier this month, while Ancelotti now ruled out his Santiago Bernabeu comeback.

The most realistic scenario for Ronaldo seems to be staying with Juventus for one more season and then deciding on the future once he becomes a free agent next summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo, arguably the best player in soccer history, might be on the move in the summer. Influential Spanish media outlet AS reports that Ronaldo has been made available by the Seria A giants and would cost just around $30 million.

After dominating Italy for the past decade, Juve has been going through a rough period in 2020/21 and they currently sit 10 points behind leaders Inter Milan. This coupled with the club’s decision ahead of the season to go younger and install an inexperienced manager in Andrea Pirlo, is believed to be driving Ronaldo’s exit.

The reason why Juve placed such a low price tag on Ronaldo is his massive wage. The Portuguese star earns close to $40 million annually and clearing him off their books would greatly benefit the Italian club. Also, the 36-year-old player will be a free agent in the summer of 2022, which means he could walk away for free.

Ronaldo is believed to be open to the idea of leaving as well. Sources say that the player regrets his decision to leave Real Madrid in 2018 and would like to return to Spain.

During his two and a half-season with Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo maintained his goalscoring tear and trophy-winning habits. He helped the club win two Seria A titles and two Supercoppa Italiana while netting 95 goals in just 123 games. In this season alone, Ronaldo has 30 goals from 34 contests.

It appears that Juventus’ superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo will stay in Italy for at least one more season. In a recent social media post, Ronaldo announced that he wants to go for his third Seria A title in 2020/21.

Ronaldo arrived to Juve from Real Madrid two years ago, putting up some impressive numbers and helping the club to continue their domination in Italy. However, there were rumors that the 35-year-old player is ready for a new challenge and wants to move on. Also, according to reports, his relationship with manager Maurizio Sarri isn’t the best.

But, if we are to believe his recent Instagram post, Ronaldo won’t leave Turin just yet.

“Happy to win the last two of the nine consecutive Serie A titles for Juventus!,” Ronaldo wrote while posting a photo of Juve celebrating the title. “It seems easy but it isn’t! Year after year with talent, dedication and hard work you can achieve your goals and be better than before! Let’s go for my third.”

Cristiano Ronaldo had an impressive season with Juventus, scoring 31 goals in Seria A and becoming just the third club’s player to eclipse the 30 goals mark in history. Ronaldo scored 35 times in all competitions while adding seven assists.

Ronaldo can still add to his tally, as Juve is set to play in UEFA Champions League later this month. Italian giants will resume the European campaign in the round-of-16 rematch against Lyon. The French club won the first game 1-0.

After leaving Real Madrid for Juventus in 2018, it appeared that Cristiano Ronaldo’s time in Spain is over. But Jose Fonte, who is Ronaldo’s teammate from Portugal’s national team, doesn’t think so.

Fonte recently had a chat with talkSPORT and told the media outlet that he thinks Ronaldo could eventually return to Real.

“I know he loves Madrid, that’s for sure,” said Fonte.”It’s clear that he loves the club itself, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world, if not the biggest.”

“He’s left many, many friends there and he’s always left the door open,” he added. “So I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes back to Real Madrid.”

Recently, rumors appeared that Cristiano Ronaldo is unhappy in Turin, and that he would consider leaving Juventus after this season. And considering that Real Madrid struggled since letting him go, Ronaldo would probably be welcomed to return to Spain.

Ronaldo played in Madrid between 2009 and 2018, during which time he won every trophy imaginable with the club including two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies. He made a total of 438 appearances with the club in all competitions, scoring an astonishing number of 450 goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly close to leaving Real Madrid, with his next destination being Italy’s most successful club, Juventus. While this may seem unbelievable at this point, there are numerous reports coming from respectable media outlets like Goal and Sky Sports that confirm these claims.

According to the reports, Real Madrid wants to keep Cristiano Ronaldo but the Portuguese superstar (and five-time Ballon d’Or winner) wants out. After several unsuccessful attempts to repair the relationship with Ronaldo, Real finally caved in and is ready to let the player go for around $116 million. Juventus is ready to spend that kind of money right away, and they also managed to get Ronaldo to accept a four-year, $35 million contract.

Despite enjoying major success with the club, Cristiano Ronaldo has become unhappy with Real Madrid in recent months. He reportedly feels like the club doesn’t give him the respect he deserves and is hurt by the fact that they started looking for his replacement. Ronaldo was also promised a new deal last season according to sources but failed to get one until now.

This isn’t the first time for Juventus to try and acquire Cristiano Ronaldo. Italian giants have tried to get Ronaldo when he was a teenager playing for Sporting, but the transfer broke down since Marcelo Salas, who was offered in exchange, refused to go to Portugal.
