]]>Hernandez was interacting with steamers ahead of the Galaxy game against FC Dallas on Sunday when he was questioned about his availability for the game.
“Am I going to play in Dallas? No, I’m still recovering from my injury,” Hernandez confirmed. “I’m going to be between 2 to 5 more weeks out because we have to be very careful with the recovery to avoid relapses.”
Vanney expressed concern with Hernandez’s revelations during a press conference, explaining that while it is permissible for players to engage with fans and discuss how they are doing, there are sometimes limits. He explained that some comments could have an impact on game preparations and management. Vanney also stated his belief that divulging such information could give opponents insight into the team’s tactics.
Galaxy was initially set to open their new season in a game against MLS champions LAFC on February 25 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, however, this fixture has been moved to July 4 due to severe weather conditions.

]]>Bond signed with Galaxy on a free transfer after agreeing to an early contract termination with West Bromwich Albion. He made seven appearances with the Premier League side in the last three years.
Bond was immediately a favorite to be the club’s No. 1 choice between the posts for the upcoming season. The club also has the inexperienced Jonathan Klinsmann on their roster, while last year’s starter David Bingham isn’t expected to receive a new contract offer.
“Jonathan is a quality goalkeeper with experience playing at a high level,” said the team’s general manager Dennis te Kloese. “He is a talented player, and we believe he can make an impact with our team as we strengthen our goalkeeper position. We look forward to Jonathan joining the squad and his contributions this season.”
Jonathan Bond started his career with Watford, making 33 appearances with the club in all competitions between 2010 and 2015. He secured a transfer to Reading ahead of the 2014-15 season but only managed to make 14 appearances for the club before being sent on multiple loan spells in lower-tier clubs.
Bond joined WBA in 2018, serving as a backup and mostly playing in cup competitions.

]]>Schelotto recently discussed the players he would like to bring to his team and listed Juventus’ star forward Gonzalo Higuain as No.1 choice.
“It would be a dream, we are talking about one of the best centre-forwards in the world,” Schelotto told Italian outlet Tuttosport.
While Schelotto acknowledges that signing Higuain would be difficult at the moment, he isn’t giving up on hopes things will change in the future.
“I saw an interview with Gonzalo where he said he wanted to stay at Juventus and in Europe. Maybe itβs too early for Higuain, but never say never in football,” he added.
Schelotto also mentioned two other Juventus stars, midfielders Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi, as players who he would like to see playing for him.
“Top players like Khedira and Matuidi could be interesting for us, even if itβs impossible to make predictions, ” Schelotto hinted at Galaxy’s future plans.
Some of the biggest names in MLS have played for Galaxy in the past, including David Beckham, Robbie Keane, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. This trend continued with adding Mexican star Javier Chicharito Hernandez in the offseason, so Schelotto’s dreams might not be so farfetched after all.
