]]>According to Goal.com, Bayern agreed to pay $67 million to Man City for Sane’s services. The initial transfer will be worth around $55 million, while the remaining $12 million is tied in bonuses and add-ons. Reportedly, City will also get 10 percent if Bayern decides to sell the 24-year-old again.
Sane, on the other hand, will receive a four-year deal that will pay him an astonishing $24.7 million a year. For comparison, the German international earned just around $6 million a year under his old contract with Man City.
The news doesn’t come as a surprise, as Leroy Sane was set to make a move to Bayern last summer. However, just before the deal was made official, Sane suffered a severe injury and ended up staying in England.
Sane joined City back in 2016 in a transfer worth $46 million from Bundesliga club Schalke 04. Since then, he made 135 appearances and scored 39 goals. He also helped the team win consecutive Premier League titles in the past two seasons.

]]>During a recent appearance on fan club meeting, Bayern’s president Herbert Hainer was asked about the possibility of landing Ronaldo and openly rejected this scenario.
“Many names are linked with us by the media,” aid Hainer via Passauer Neue Presse. “Cristiano should be a bit too old for us.”
Haine, however, confirmed that the club is still intending to pursue German star winger Leroy Sane of Manchester City. Bayern engaged in serious talks with City over the player towards in the summer, but Sane suffered a right knee injury which ended up stalling the transfer.
While Hainer obviously wants a youth revolution in Munich, not wanting Cristiano Ronaldo seems foolish. While it’s true Ronaldo isn’t getting any younger, his game is still on the top level. The 35-year-old Portuguese scored 20 goals in 20 Seria A games this season while adding three goals in other competitions.

]]>Although he showed flashes of his amazing talent during his time in Premier League, Sane never managed to fully adapt to English football. This, combined with his reported off-the-field issues, caused him to play a reduced role this season and fell out of manager Pep Guardiola’s plans. While City didn’t make the 23-year-old publicly available, they are ready to listen to offers, which prompted Bayern to enquire for the player’s services.
While Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic didn’t want to comment on interest in Sane, team’s president Uli Hoeness didn’t mind announcing the world their intentions.
“Yes, we are negotiating with this player,” – Hoeness told reporters on Friday.
According to Guardian, Bayern Munich opened the talks with Man City by offering close to $90 million for Sane. They are now awaiting a response, but will most likely have to up their bid as City is reportedly asking for a figure between $100 million and $110 million for the player.
Despite starting just 30 games this season, Leroy Sane still managed to be effective on the field and help City win their second consecutive Premier League title. He scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in the national competition while adding six more goals and eight assists in other competitions.
