]]>Apparently, LeBron got in touch with Arenas recently and asked him to keep an eye on his son during a training session.
As Arenas explained to NBC Sports Washington’s Chris Miller, “LeBron hit me on Instagram and said ‘My son is starting to train and he’s training with Dribble2Much. Can you go over there and put some eyes on him and let me know because I’m kind of worried about him.’ I went there, watched him, and gave him some pointers.”
After the session, Arenas had great things to report to his old friend: “He’s your clone, you don’t need to be worried,” he told LeBron. “Just from looking at him, you were probably taller, you’ve got the same speed, he probably jumps higher, passes probably the same, IQ probably the same, he shoots better and dribbles better.”
LeBron’s response to Arenas? “That is actually correct”
Bronny is currently 16 years old and is ranked 25th in the nation for his class, ESPN reports. He currently has offers to play basketball for colleges such as Kentucky, UCLA, Duke, Kansas, and North Carolina.

]]>According to Mike Hopkins, Stewart’s head coach at the University of Washington, the 19-year-old player is already shaping up to be a top tier player, with Hopkins even comparing him to the Clippers’ Montrezl Harrell. Hopkins praised Stewart for his relentlessness on court, even stating that “he’s got a motor like a Ferrari”.
Standing at 250 pounds, Stewart is expected to be a strong candidate for the Knicks’ No. 27 pick in the draft and is likely to join the team should he be chosen, particularly because of being stationed in New York City at this time. The power forward/center is reported to be conducting workouts with numerous teams in Manhattan as a means of cementing a strong position in this year’s draft.
The Knicks are not the only team to show interest in the youngster, however. The Boston Celtics, who have the 14th draft pick overall, may also consider making a move for Stewart. While it has not yet been confirmed, the Celtics consider making a move for Stewart in the first round of the draft on November 18th.

]]>According to Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News, Dallas are even prepared to make all players in their roster—apart from Doncic and Porzingis—available for trade during the offseason in exchange for a lottery pick. Currently, the Mavericks have been allocated the 18th and 31st picks of the evening.
Mark Cuban’s franchise is allegedly in “urgency mode” following its disappointing results last season. After finishing in 7th position on the Western Conference Standings, the Mavericks lost 4-2 on aggregate to the Los Angeles Clippers during the first round of the playoffs.
In order to improve on last season’s performance, Dallas will be keen to retain the services of key players Doncic and Porzingis. Doncic, who was awarded the 2019 NBA Rookie of the Year Award, continued to impress last season, averaging 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 1.0 steals in 61 games. While Porzingis missed the 2018-19 season due to an ACL tear, he enjoyed a respectable comeback last season, grabbing 20.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.8 assists in 57 games.

]]>19-year-old Hayes played in Germany last year with Basketball Bundesliga side Ratiopharm Ulm, before which he represented French League club Cholet. After having his skill levels assessed, the left-hander is rated above other lottery-projected point guards such as Tyrese Haliburton, Kira Lewis, Cole Anthony, RJ Hampton, Theo Maledon, and Tyrese Maxey.
Rashad Phillips, who runs the “SportsTalk 2319” mock draft had the following to say about Hayes: “He’s a great pick-and-roll point guard. He’s a dominant left-handed guard but he has great speed and shift and is a decent shooter.”
With the NBA easing some of their health restrictions, players are now allowed 4 1/2-hour in-person workouts/interviews/medical evaluations. As a result, Hayes has agreed to do a set of private, in-person workouts with one team.
In-person workouts are expected to greatly benefit Hayes, who was not exposed to NCAA basketball like many of his fellow players. Instead of college basketball, Hayes chose to pursue a professional career in Europe.
The NBA Draft takes place on November 18.

]]>Timberwolves (19-45) had the third-worst team in the league this year but entered the lottery with a 14 percent chance just like the Golden State Warriors (15-50) and Cleveland Cavaliers (19-46), who had the worst and second-worst regular-season record respectively. Warriors won’t be too sad about missing on the No. 1 selection, as they will pick second, but Cavs ended up falling all the way to No. 5.
The No. 3 selection belongs to Charlotte Hornets, while the No. 4 pick went to Chicago Bulls.
Minnesota will enter the NBA Draft with hopes to land a talent who can help All-Stars Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell turn around the franchise’s luck. Timberwolves picked No. 1 only once in their history when they took Towns as the top overall selection in 2015.
“There’s a lot of steps left in this journey for us, but today was a significant one,” said Timberwolves president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas. “We’re excited about the potential level of player that we can add to our organization, but at the same time, we are going to be very aggressive and look at every avenue to improve this team.”
Unlike some other years, in the 2020 draft class, there is no consensus No. 1 pick. The names that stand out, however, include Georgia’s shooting guard Anthony Edwards, Memphis’ center James Wiseman, and point guard LaMelo Ball, the brother of New Orleans Pelicans’ Lonzo Ball.
Warriors, on the other hand, will look to use the pick to extend their championship window and add talent around All-Stars Steph Curry, Clay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Golden State is reportedly considering several options including drafting a player as well as trading the pick for a proven veteran.
