The NBA’s most star-studded event took place on Sunday night in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The 68th edition of the NBA All-Star Game was, as is customary, a high-scoring affair. Team LeBron, featuring LeBron James and the players that he drafted, won by a final score of 178-164.

The Most Valuable Player Award from the game was taken home by Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant. Durant scored 31 points and collected seven rebounds to lead Team LeBron´s offensive attack.

The player that finished with the game´s highest point total was the leading All Star vote getter in the Eastern Conference, Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek superstar recorded a triple-double with 38 points and 11 rebounds in 27 minutes of playing time.

Two of the highlights of Sunday´s game were appearances by two NBA legends that will retire at the end of the year, Heat guard Dwyane Wade and Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki.

Wade, who played for Team LeBron, appeared for only 10 minutes in the game but scored 7 points.

Nowitzki was selected by Team Giannis. He entered the game at the end of the first quarter to a round of applause and scored 9 points, shooting and making three three-point attempts.

Teams will return to action after the All-Star Break on Thursday.
