Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag expressed dissatisfaction with his team’s performance after they let go of a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur in Thursday night’s Premier League clash in London.

The Red Devils raced into the lead with goals from Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford in the first 44 minutes of play, putting them in full control going into the halftime break.

Early in the second half, the home team appeared revitalized, with Pedro Porro pulling a goal back 11 minutes after the break. After an extended period of dominance, Son Heung-Min rewarded Spurs’ efforts, scoring to put them level in the 79th minute.

“Some thought 90 percent is enough,” ten Hag said after the game. “If we lose focus, that’s why we gave balls away, we didn’t do our jobs in position and then you concede goals. In both goals, it was the case. But more, you lose control of the game.”

Currently six points ahead of the fifth-placed Spurs and with two games in hand, Man Utd remains in poll position to finish the Premier League in the top four and secure Champions League qualification next season provided they finish the season in top form.
