It is hard to believe that Houston Texans might consider tearing down their roster despite the disappointing 2020 season, but that didn’t stop other teams from trying to pry away some of their best players.

According to The Athletic’s Aaron Reiss, several teams have approached Texans in recent days to inquire about the availability of veteran wideout Will Fuller. The team that has the most interest is reportedly Green Bay Packers, although any deal looks far from being done at this point.

Reiss added that Texans are not interested in selling for the sake of it but might be tempted to consider moving on from Fuller if they receive a good enough offer.

Fuller has been quietly enjoying a productive season, racking up 31 receptions for 490 yards and five touchdowns. This puts him just 145 yards and two TDs shy from his NFL career records despite playing less than half of the season.

Texans’ decision on Will Fuller will most likely depend on the organization’s plans for the future. If they intend to re-sign Fuller after this season and commit significant money to him, any deal seems unlikely. However, if they are not sure whether to keep him, then they should take the best deal available and run with it.

Green Bay’s interest in Fuller doesn’t come as a surprise, as the organization looked to find a partner for Pro Bowler Davante Adams for some time now. The third-year wideout Allen Lazard looked like he could be in the mix for a while, but the 24-year-old player is currently on the sidelines, having underwent a core muscle surgery.
