The Tennessee Titans are looking to hire Ran Carthon as their new general manager, sources reported to ESPN on Tuesday. Carthon currently serves as the team’s director of player personnel.

Carthon reportedly interviewed for the role with a panel of Titans executives on Friday, with controlling owner Amy Adams-Strunk in attendance.

Prior to becoming director of player personnel two seasons ago, Carthon served as the Titans’ director of pro personnel for five seasons.

During his 15 years of experience, Carthon also spent five seasons as the director of pro personnel with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams and four seasons as a pro scout with the Atlanta Falcons.

The search for a new general manager comes after the Titans decided to dismiss Jon Robinson from the role in November. This comes after the team reached the decision that Robinson had not been leading the Titans in the desired general direction.

In addition to the change in general manager, the Titans are also dealing with the aftermath of Monti Ossenfort’s decision to step down as director of player personnel in order to take a job as the Arizona Cardinals’ new general manager.
