Just when baseball fans thought that the upcoming World Series matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Dodgers couldn’t get any more exciting, the league’s best prospect Wander Franco drops a hint at possibly suiting up for the Rays.

The shortstop for the Dominical Republic, who is considering to be the No. 1 MLB prospect, posted a video on his Instagram account of his World Series jersey. Does that mean that the Rays are going to add him to the roster?

It would be strange for the Rays to add a player to their 28-man roster who has never played an MLB game before. However, considering the fact that it’s Franco, who nearly every baseball scout believes will be a certified star in the future, it might not be impossible.

The Rays will look for any advantage facing the Dodgers, who are World Series favorites, had the best record of the regular season, and have been to the World Series in three of the last four years.

Maybe adding the 19-year-old super talent might be just what the Rays need to spark a magical World Series run.

The Rays beat the Houston Astros in Game 7 to secure their World Series appearance after nearly choking away a 3-0 series lead. The Dodgers rallied back from a 3-1 deficit against the Atlanta Braves to win their Game 7 in order to represent the National League in the World Series.
