UEFA Champions League 2019-2020 Groups Are Set

The new UEFA Champions League season is all set up after last night’s group stage draw that took place in Monaco.

Besides the draw, UEFA has declared the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward for the past season as well as the winner of the Men’s Player Of the Year award. The award for the best goalkeeper was handed to Alisson Becker who had an excellent first season at Liverpool playing a major role in the UCL title victory. Virgil Van Dijk was chosen as the best defender as expected, and later he was also chosen as Men’s Player Of The Year after beating Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. 

Barcelona’s new star Frenkie De Jong was named the best midfielder in the UCL with his new teammate Lionel Messi who was named as the best forward in Europe. 

2019-2020 Group stage draw: 

Group A: PSG, Real Madrid, Club Brugge and Galatasaray 

Group B: Bayern, Olympiacos, Red Star Belgrade and Tottenham 

Group C: Manchester City, Dinamo Zagreb, Atalanta and Shakhtar Donetsk 

Group D: Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Leverkusen and Lokomotiv Moscow 

Group E: Liverpool, Napoli, RB Salzburg and Genk 

Group F: Barcelona, Dortmund, Inter and Slavia Praha 

Group G: Zenit, Benfica, Lyon and RB Leipzig 

Group H: Chelsea, Ajax, Valencia and Lille.
