UEFA presented Champions League quarterfinals matchups on Friday, and its safe to say that we could be in for some epic matchups. This includes the possibility of Bayern facing Barcelona and Real Madrid or Man City playing against Juventus.

The reason why the quarterfinals matchups haven’t been finalized is that there are four second-leg games left to be played in round-of-16. However, as these remaining games will be played shortly before the next stage, UEFA decided to go on with the draw as it is.

The first matchup will see the winner of Real Madrid vs. Manchester City (1-2) play against the winner of Juventus vs. Lyon (0-1) while the winners of Napoli vs. Barcelona (1-1) and Chelsea vs. Bayern Munich (0-3) will meet in the second matchup.

The rest of the quarterfinals pairs are made from teams that have secured their place in the next phase of the competition. RB Leipzig will play against Atletico Madrid while Atlanta will face Paris Saint-Germain.

UEFA previously decided that the remaining round-of-16 matches will be played at the previously scheduled locations on August 7th and August 8th. Then, all the teams will head to Lisbon, where they’ll play quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.

The remaining stages of Champions League are scheduled to take place from August 12th to August 19th and will include single-elimination games.
