The UEFA Champions League quarter-finals are officially set after the remaining Round of 16 fixtures were completed over the weekend.

After FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Olympique Lyon managed to get the better of their Round of 16 opponents, the tournament has its eight quarter-finalists which will compete in Lisbon, Portugal over the next two weeks to take home the title.

The remaining rounds, all of which will consist of just one fixture, will kick off on Wednesday, August 12th. Atalanta, one of the Cinderellas of the tournament, will go up against Paris Saint-Germain.

The winner of this matchup will meet the winner of Thursday’s showdown between RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid at the Estadio Jose Alvarade in the semi-final, which is set to be played next week.

From the other two matchups, which will be played on Friday and Saturday, we will have our other two Champions League semi-finalists. The first game is a matchup of European titans, as FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich will meet in what should be the most interesting of the quarter-final matchups.

The quarter-finals will wrap up with a game between Manchester City and Olympique Lyon as the French club will look to continue its magical run in the tournament after upsetting Juventus.

For soccer fans, the upcoming week should be nothing short of a treat as the trek towards the end of this year’s competition heats up.
