The USMNT star forward Christian Pulisic might finally be getting more room to showcase his talents with Premier League powerhouse Chelsea. The London club’s new head coach Graham Potter gave Pulisic his first start of the season in Sunday’s match against the Wolves, and the American responded by scoring a goal in a dominant 3-0 win.

This was also the first goal for Pulisic in 2022-23 in 10 matches in all competitions. The 24-year-old was sparsely used by former head coach Thomas Tuchel, but Potter appears eager to give the player the chance he deserves.

“It was very nice!, “said Pulisic for the club’s official site about scoring the goal. “I wasn’t sure if Mason would get that pass through but he slipped it through. It was a tough angle so it was a nice finish, and I’m really happy to get that goal.”

Christian Pulisic’s return to form would be of great use not only for Chelsea, who are looking to continue their climb on the standings, but also for the United States men’s national team. Pulisic is the key player for USMNT, and having him ready and confident could do wonders for the team’s chances at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar. The USMNT will start the tournament in Group B with England, Iran, and Wales as its opponents.
