USWNT and Sky Blue FC star midfielder Carli Lloyd might be changing sports soon. According to Lloyd, she recently received an offer to be a kicker for one NFL team and is intrigued by this opportunity.

Lloyd recently took part in Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens’ joint practice and made an impressive 55-yards field goal that caught the attention of NFL teams.

After the video went viral, multiple teams contacted Lloyd, and one of them offered her a spot on their roster for a preseason game. Unfortunately, the 37-year-old had to pass on the opportunity because she has obligations with USWNT and would likely need more preparation time.

But, Lloyd is open to looking into the possibility of playing football in the future.

“I am having discussions with my husband [Brian Hollins] and [trainer] James [Galanis] about the reality of playing in the NFL,” – Lloyd told Fox Sports. “They both feel that I could do it and should consider it. So I’m seriously considering it, as it’s a challenge.”

Carli Lloyd is one of the most decorated players that ever played with U.S. national team. She made 282 appearances with the senior team, which rank third on the all-time list, and has scored fourth-most goals with 141. Lloyd won two Olympic gold medals and two FIFA Women’s World Cup with USWNT while also receiving FIFA Player of the Year honors two times.
