Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley Jr. has been declared fit to play by his team ahead of Friday night’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This comes after the player missed the previous nine games due to recovering from a strained muscle near his left knee.

While fit to appear in the contest, Conley has been said to be on a minutes restriction as he continues to work to regain his conditioning.

Although Conley’s return is a welcome site for the Jazz, they will still be without forward Lauri Markkanen, who missed Wednesday’s 123-124 comeback win against the Golden State Warriors due to illness. Markkanen continues to be listed as questionable, however, he was spotted participating in a shootout on Friday morning.

Guard Collin Sexton will miss at least a week due to picking up a mild hamstring strain. Sexton replaced Conley during his absence during which time the Jazz went 3-6, yet won three of their past four games.
