Despite remaining a free agent deep into the offseason, veteran running back LeSean McCoy isn’t thinking about retirement. McCoy, who recently made it to the NFL All-Decade Team, expressed his desire to play in the NFL for “two more years.”

McCoy spent 2019 with Kansas City Chiefs, where he managed to win a Super Bowl ring. The 31-year-old, however, had a down year, rushing for 465 yards and one touchdown, while playing just one snap in the playoffs.

As expected, Chiefs didn’t sign McCoy to a new contract after the season ended, and the six-time Pro Bowler is now trying to find a new job.

“I have a couple teams that I’m looking at. I’m just waiting for the right moment,” said McCoy during an appereance on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “I want to go to a team that’s a winning franchise that have all the right pieces that’s waiting for me. The teams I’m looking at right now are those teams.”

Over the course of his career, in which he also played with Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills, LeSean McCoy posted six seasons with 1,000+ rushing yards. However, in the recent two seasons combined, he not only didn’t get to that number but also failed to have 1,000 yards combined.

Still, McCoy doesn’t think it was time for him to bow out.

“I really just want to play two more years,” he added. “If it doesn’t go well, just let your body talk to you. My body feels fine.”
