The opening of the newest fixture in the Spanish La Liga brought us an amazing match in Villarreal, as the home side hosted Real Betis from Seville. Karl Toko Ekambi opened the score late in the 39th minute for the home team, with Santi Cazorla providing the assist. This goal was an introduction to the amazing second half that presented 5 goals.

The Brazilian attacker turned left defensive back, Emerson leveled the score just 3 minutes into the second half. Villarreal took back the single goal lead through the veteran Santi Cazorla, who scored from the penalty spot 20 minutes later. That penalty was the downfall of the hosts as they managed to concede 3 more goals until the end. Karl Ekambi scored his second goal of the night in the 76th minute, assisted by Gerard Moreno, who scored the 4th goal in the 2nd minute of stoppage time. Samuel Chukwueze finished the job in the 95th minute, making it 5 for the home side. After this victory, Villarreal are now 5th placed, while Real Betis takes the 7th spot on the table.

The biggest match of this fixture will take place on Wanda Metropolitano as Atletico Madrid hosts their city rivals Real Madrid.
