After a frustrating loss in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors needed a victory in Game 2 in Toronto to avoid falling into a big hole.

They fulfilled their task, escaping with a 109-104 win to knot up the series at 1.

The Warriors took control of the game just after halftime, scoring 18 consecutive points at the beginning of the 3rd quarter to take a commanding lead.

They didn’t look back, putting the game under their control in the fourth quarter and going back to Oracle Arena with an extremely important win.

It was a team effort for the Dubs, who got double-digit points from four of five starters. Klay Thompson led the team with 25 points.

Steph Curry chipped in 23 points as well.

Golden State got a huge boost from the return of DeMarcus Cousins, who put in a big game with 11 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks.

Kawhi Leonard did his best to push the Raptors forward, scoring 34 points, but he ultimately didn’t get enough scoring help from his teammates.

Game 3 of the series will move to Oakland, where the Warriors will host the Raptors in a massive, series-turning game. It will be played on Wednesday night.
