West Ham United certainly didn’t have a lot of luck with previous striker signings, but they hope to change this with their latest acquirement. The British Premier League club confirmed that they will be signing the striker Sebastien Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt. The striker is currently going to West Ham for his medical and after that, the two clubs will finalize the transfer.
Haller comes as the latest of West Ham’s reinforcements. The management of the club expects a lot from the 25-year-old striker. A really good indicator of how much is expected from him is the fact that the club will be paying a record sum for his acquirement. The transfer fee is worth almost $56 million and it’s the clubs record. The record before was held by the transfer of Felipe Anderson back in 2018 which cost the Hammers around $44.6 million being more than $10 million lighter than the new record.
The French striker, Sebastien Haller, started his professional career in the French club Auxerre. After that, he played in Utrecht from 2015 up until 2017 when he was signed by Eintracht Frankfurt which is his current club. He has had a stunning career so far, having 230 appearances during which he managed to score 91 goals.
