Premier League side West Ham is reportedly interested in bringing U.S. international and Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah. According to James Benge of CBS Sports, the London club sees Musah as a replacement for their outgoing star midfielder Declan Rice.

Musah previously attracted interest from English clubs in January when Chelsea made a reported €35 million offer for the American. At the time, Valencia rejected the offer but is believed to be open for business this summer.

Musah played 33 games in La Liga this season, helping Valencia avoid relegation. He spent his entire professional career with the Spanish club, arriving as a 16-year-old player in 2019. The Bronx native has 25 caps with the United States men’s national team.

West Ham is considering several other players besides Musah as they look to prepare for Rice’s departure. The England international wants to move on to a bigger club and has no shortage of suitors.

Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City and Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich are among the clubs interested in signing Rice, but it is Arsenal who is making the most concrete moves lately. Arsenal already had an initial £80 million bid rejected earlier this week and are expected to make an improved bid soon.
