The injury list for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has grown longer with the addition of wide receiver Antonio Brown as the Floridian team prepares to face the Chicago Bears at the Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. Having missed the entire week of practice due to struggling with a sprained ankle, coach Bruce Arians confirmed that Brown would not compete in the Bears’ game. Brown incurred the injury during the Buccaneers’ 28-22 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on October 14.

“Tyler has done a good job. Everyone has a lot of confidence in Tyler,” quarterback Tom Brady said of his injured teammate. Brady furthermore complemented Brown on his work ethic and positive attitude, stating that he has faith in the wide receiver’s ability to bounce back from injury.

After contracting COVID-19 during the third week of regular-season action, this will be the second game that Brown misses this season. Despite his absences, Brown has accumulated the second-most receiving yards on the team with 418.

Other players who will remain unavailable for the Buccaneers’ upcoming match include tight end Rob Gronkowski, who is recovering from a rib injury, inside linebacker Lavonte David who incurred a low ankle sprain, and cornerback Richard Sherman, who is dealing with a pulled hamstring.
