Attacking duo Willian and Pedro will see out the remainder of the 2019/20 Premier League with Chelsea. The London club announced on Tuesday that both players agreed to short-term extensions and will extend their stay at Stamford Bridge for several more months.

Willian and Pedro previously had expiring contracts and were set to leave at the end of this month. Now, by signing extensions, they will get to finish the season with Chelsea as the club tries to secure a Champions League spot in Premier League.

Willian, who has been with Chelsea since 2013, was a regular starter this season and played 38 games in all competitions. The 31-year-old forward scored seven goals and provided six assists in the process.

Although Chelsea expressed interest in keeping Willian, who has 330 career games with the club, past this season, it appears the player will move on. The Brazilian was linked with several high-profile clubs this summer, and will most likely end up with Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain.

Pedro, on the other hand, was mostly used as a sub in 2019/20. The Spaniard scored two goals in 18 appearances. He has 43 goals in 201 for Chelsea since coming from Barcelona in 2015.

While Pedro stated on several occasions that he would like to remain with Chelsea in the future, the club didn’t show interest in keeping him past this season.
