This weekend soccer fans were able to watch a sporting spectacle at the Hongkou football stadium in Shanghai, China as the Wolves and Manchester City fought for the Premier League Asia Trophy. The world was surprised by the unexpected Wolves victory who managed to beat Manchester City even though City showed dominance on the field.

Manchester City showed greater possession in the soccer match which after a great struggle ended with a tie. The game offered both sides great chances to score but they were all missed, ending the game with a 0-0 after 90 minutes.

As no goals were scored in the whole game, it continued with a penalty shootout in which Manchester City managed to score 2 goals, with the Wolves team scoring 3, winning the club Asian Trophy.

After both teams missed their first penalties, Ryan Bennett gave the Wolves the advantage in the shootout. Next, Max Kilman from the Wolves missed his shot and Danilo da Silva scored so the result became even. This was followed by goals for both teams scored by Taylor Perry and Aleix Garcia. The game ended with Runen Vinagre’s goal which sealed City’s faith after Lukas Nmecha failed to score the last shot.
