Wolverhampton and Manchester United closed the 2nd fixture of the Premier League on Monday night, with a final score of 1-1. The visitors had more ball control throughout the entire match and they used it to open up the score through Antony Martial in the 27th minute, with Marcus Rashford providing the assist.

Wolves managed to level the score in the 55th minute, after Ruben Neves’s stunning goal which happened after the ball was deflected to him from the corner kick. The referee consulted the VAR system for a possible offside by Joao Moutinho, but after the VAR replay, the referee pointed at the center, allowing the goal. Some minutes later, Paul Pogba was brought down in the penalty box by Ryan Bennett and the referee pointed at the penalty spot. Pogba was the one who took responsibility, but his shot was saved by Rui Patricio, helping Wolves to stay undefeated against the Red Devils for the 3rd straight time.

After the 2nd fixture, Wolves earned their second straight draw and are currently 13th on the league table, while Manchester United climbed to the 4th spot after the victory over Chelsea on the opening day.
