After winning their first Super Bowl in 50 years last season, Kansas City Chiefs don’t want to stop there. According to their star wideout Tyreek Hill, Chiefs now aim to win at least seven rings.

Last week, Chiefs’ Pro Bowl defensive tackle Chris Jones told media that he believes they can get “five-plus” Super Bowls in the future and grow into a dynasty. Asked about Jones’ comments during his appearance on ESPN’s First Take, Hill decided to go even further.

“Well, I’m not gonna say he’s telling a fib,” said Hill. “But Chris Jones, he’s definitely — he’s definitely a man of his word, and we’re definitely creating something special here in KC, so I don’t see why not. Why say five? Why not go seven rings? Right now we’re just chasing [Michael] Jordan, so that’s what we do. So I’m going over five, and I’m saying seven.”

Kansas City Chiefs got their second Vince Lombardy trophy thanks to 31-20 comeback victory against San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. Hill gave a big contribution to the win, catching nine passes for 105 yards.

While seven Super Bowls definitely seems like an overreach at the moment, as no other dynasty in the history of NFL managed to win more than six (New England Patriots). Still, there is no doubt that Chiefs are well-positioned to have long-term success.

They have all their key players, like Hill, Jones, and signal-caller Patrick Mahomes playing in their primes while being under contract for the foreseeable future. This should guarantee Kansas City remains a contender in years to come and at least get close to getting seven rings.
