]]>Pogba has been a subject of transfer speculations for the better part of the summer, but Manchester United decided not to sell him, hoping he could be a part of the team for years to come. The club even triggered an option to extend his contract to keep him until 2022, just before the season started.
However, it looks like Pogba doesn’t share Man Utd’s vision. According to Raiola, he’s unhappy with the club and wants to move on.
“It’s over between Manchester United and Pogba,” Raiola told Tuttosport in a recent interview. “No point beating around the bush, it’s better to speak clearly, look forward, and not waste time looking for people to blame: Paul is unhappy at Manchester United.”
If the Premier League side decides to grant Paul Pogba’s wish, his most likely destination would be La Liga giants Real Madrid, who already showed interest in the player on several previous occasions. Pogba’s return to Juventus is also not out of the question, since the team is looking to add balance to their midfield.
After a strong finish in the 2019-20 season, Pogba has been struggling to make an impact this season. He played only eight games in the Premier League so far and has only one goal to show for it.

]]>Pogba was reportedly growing unhappy with Manchester United’s in the past two seasons, and he wanted a change of scenery Real and Juve being keen on his services. His future at Old Trafford became even more uncertain after he missed the majority of the season out with a foot injury.
However, the 27-year-old returned to the team’s starting lineup after the Premier League restart and played a big part in Man Utd’s turnaround alongside the new acquisition Bruno Fernandes. Now it appears that Pogba doesn’t think of moving anywhere anytime soon.
“I’m really, really happy and so blessed to be back and be fully fit now, and I’m enjoying being back with the team,” said Pogba in a chat with United Review.
Pogba also talked about how it felt to return to action after being out for almost 10 months.
“Just being back training, touching the ball and doing what I love is amazing; I missed it so much,” he explained. “You realise when you’re out for a long time how much you really enjoy playing football and how much you love it.”
Reportedly, Man Utd is also happy with Paul Pogba’s return and have already opened contract extension talks with his representatives. Pogba currently has one year left on his deal, while the club also holds an option to extend the contract for season 2021/22.

]]>Fernandes joined Man Utd in January and played a major part in the team’s successful stretch in the second part of the 2019/20 Premier League season. The 25-year-old Portuguese took over the leading creative role in the team’s midfield and has two goals and three assists to show for in just five games.
Since arriving to England, Fernandes was given significant freedom in the game and many believe that Pogba’s return will change that. Also, there are concerns about how two creative midfielders and players who require ball can co-exist on the field together.
But Fernandes doesn’t share these concerns. “I think everyone is excited to see Pogba play again after his long injury,” he said. “For me, playing alongside him will be amazing. Everyone wants to play with the best players and Pogba is one of them.”
Paul Pogba played just eight matches this season, before undergoing a foot surgery. Initially, he was set to miss the rest of 2019/20, but the coronavirus pandemic-induced delays of Premier League games gave Pogba enough time to recover.

]]>The French midfielder had previously missed three games earlier in the season after hurting his ankle in Man U’s August 31 match against Southampton. Pogba informed team doctors that his ankle was bothering him after Monday night’s game, and it appears the team might be cautious with their approach with treating the ankle.
Manchester United won its debut Europa League game against FC Astana, meaning that they are not under a great amount of pressure to win on Thursday night.
Manchester United probably prefers to save Pogba for Sunday’s Premier League match anyway, considering their dire start in league play. The Red Devils are currently in a disappointing tenth place after winning only two of their first seven matches.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is set to announce his team’s travel list for the Thursday game in the Netherlands on Wednesday, and it bears watching to see if the French midfielder will make the squad. All indicates are seeming to indicate, however, that he will not.

]]>According to influential Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Juventus’ latest bid for Pogba includes fee and fullback Joao Cancelo, winger Douglas Costa and midfielder Blaise Matuidi. It remains unclear, however, whether Man Utd is interested in this package. The Premier League side reportedly would prefer to do “only cash” deal and has put a $200 million price tag on the player.
Paul Pogba spent his youth career with Man Utd, before joining Juventus as a free agent. Pogba established himself as one of the world’s best midfielders in Italy, which prompted United to bring him back in a then-record transfer worth around $112 million. While the 26-year-old had a successful start of his second stint in England, he recently became discontent with the lack of club’s competitiveness and would welcome a change of scenery.
Besides Juventus, other big European clubs have also shown interest in Pogba in recent months. La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid has been especially keen on adding him to their squad, but the club likely needs to sell some players if they want to facilitate the move. The list of players that Madrid could offload to fund Pogba move includes Isco and Marco Asensio.

“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else. I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else.” – he added.
Pogba has been linked with several teams in the past months, but his preferable destinations would reportedly be Real Madrid or Juventus. Still, the 26-year-old World Cup winner could find it tough to leave Premier League.
According to ESPN, Manchester United does not intend to sell Paul Pogba this summer as they are trying to bounce back after a disappointing season. They also have Pogba under contract until 2021 and also hold a team option for another year.
Although Man Utd played poorly in 2018/19, Pogba had one of his statistically better seasons. He scored 13 goals and provided nine assists in the national competition, while also scoring twice in the UEFA Champions League.
