According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Anthony was notified on Wednesday that he was elected to the Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class. Anthony was announced as one of the finalists in February, alongside the likes of three-time Defensive Player of the Year Dwight Howard and WNBA legend Sue Bird.

“For [the fans] to really see me fighting and still giving me that energy, it meant a lot, because I feel like I’ve given my life to tennis and I’ve tried to give them a show every time I go out there,” Kyrgios said.

Kyrgios added that he doesn’t see himself playing another singles match at Australian Open. He is scheduled to play in this year’s doubles tournament with Thanasi Kokkinakis.

“Realistically, I can’t see myself playing a singles match here again,” he shared.

When asked about whether 2025 will be his last season, Kyrgios didn’t provide a definite answer but said he intends to play at the remaining three Grand Slams this year and hopes to “make some noise at Wimbledon.”

Nick Kyrgios achieved his highest ranking in 2016 when he was the No. 13 tennis player in the world. His biggest success was his 2022 finals appearance at Wimbledon, and he also won a doubles title at the Australian Open in the same year.
